Above is the first picture of the PPG!! They were called the "Whoopa$$ Girls Stew"(below) Before it ran on television. Later, during Craig's years in CIA(California Institute for the Arts), he was assigned to make a short cartoon on anything, so he chose the "Whoopa$$ Girls Stew". It had the Ganegreengang in it. Later, Hanna Barbera saw the short film, and enjoyed it. He asked Craig to then make a show on it, but since "The Whoopa$$ Girls Stew" is too harmful for television, they came up with a new name. It was then called "The Powerpuff Girls", which we call it now. 
Below is a sceen from "Crime 101" (Taken from Powerpuffplace, click on pic to visit site). In this episode, The Amoeba Boys really get on the PPG's nerves, so they decide to teach them how to commit a crime. The Powerpuff Girls rob a bank, but will they make it without going to jail?
